I most definitely had a crush on Mike Kraft. But I can't remember what grade. He was cute and quiet. His dad had an upholstery shop on Warren Avenue. It had a chair in the window at one point, which I thought was very cool. It was by Kowalsky's meat market-the BEST place for penny candy in town. I think Mike followed his father into this skilled profession, which I highly respect as it is tough to do as well as the Krafts did. Wish he were still around. May God bless him and his family.
I didn't live too far from the Kraft family business. Maybe a 6-7 minute walk. Mike was a great guy. A man with character. I lived in the first house behind the Tel-Warren Bakery on the other side of Warren Rd. I loved going into Kowalski's for candy too! The Family Market was also a great place. What was the name of the pizza parlor there in that strip? Tim's Hardware was another place I'd like to go. There was a pizza parlor next to the laundry mat too on Fenton and Warren.
